In 1993, the School Based Services (SBS) component was added to Michigan’s Medicaid Program, which allows for reimbursement of some health services provided by the schools. Services that are eligible for reimbursement include:

  • Speech and Language Therapy (SL)
  • Psychology (PSY)
  • School Social Work (SSW)
  • Orientation and Mobility (O&M)
  • Transportation
  • Nursing
  • Case Management
