Early Childhood

Recognizing that school success requires that children spend their first years in nurturing, stimulating environments, early childhood programs focus on supporting and encouraging parents as they cultivate healthy, stimulating relationships with their young children. Because parents are their children’s first and most important teachers, the CISD, working in collaboration with local schools and community partners, provides services to families through the Great Parents, Great Start program.

 Great Parents, Great Start

Great Parents, Great Start teaches parents ways to provide their young children with early learning opportunities that will help them develop the skills needed to be successful learners.

Great Parent, Great Start services include:

  • Early Childhood website (migreatparents.org)
  • Family services birth to five
  • Community collaboration/school events
  • Early childhood information distribution
