The purpose of the Early Childhood Education Program is to train high school students for a wide variety of jobs working with young children. We operate the laboratory preschool to assist us with their training. They work on a rotating basis with a co-op student, a certified teacher, and children from the community.
GOALS
Our goals for the children in our preschool are to help them be independent, able to get along with others, feel good about themselves, and to learn basic skills for kindergarten.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are licensed by the State of Michigan to service 30 children in each session. We are licensed for children from ages 2 ½ -5 years old, and they must be toilet trained.
We are also inspected by the Health Department and Fire Department to see that we have met all requirements to best service all children in the county.
Our license is renewed every two years.
TUITION
Preschool payments run from November-May, with payments due on the first Friday of each month. The cost is $40.00 per month. You may pay by cash, check, or money order. Checks are to be made out to the Calhoun Area Career Center (CACC).
